What to expect at your piercing check up

We offer free piercing check ups with all piercing services!

Check ups happen 3-4 weeks after your initial piercing. Check ups help ensure that you don’t have any issues healing, and addressing issues quickly if you do. The earlier we see an issue, the easier it is to fix. If you suspect an issue before your check up (or at any time), please contact us right away! We are here to help!

Some piercings will require a downsize. Downsizes are vital for the health of your piercing. We use a longer post/barbell to accommodate for the initial swelling. Once swelling subsides, it is important to get a shorter, fitted post put in. If you leave the longer post in, it will get snagged and caught easily and can cause irreparable damage to the angle of the piercing. Downsizes are generally just the cost of a new post, which is $15-$20.
